Sotheby’s
was established in 1744. Nothing much happened for Shirley's fans of distinction
until the 28th September 2005 when property from her Monaco residence was
included in their Furniture and Interior Decorator auction.
The whole catalogue contains 424 lots of furniture, sculpture, rugs, pottery,
art and other fine items. Dame Shirley Bassey has only 18 lots for sale (lots 407-424) and they are
all beautiful. Good looking and so refined.
Now let me get right to the point - the catalogue is reproduced here in PDF
format. To view the pages relating to Shirley Bassey's lots together
click
here. Alternatively you can view each of the pages separately by clicking on
the relevant
thumbnail below.
The buyer’s premium rate is 20% plus VAT. Pre-sales estimates are intended as a
guide for prospective buyers but all lots can realise prices above or below the
estimates, which are subject to revision. All of Shirley’s lots are subject to a
reserve (minimum auction price). If you wish to make absentee bids, contact
Sotheby’s before the sale on 020 7293 6065.
If you would like full contact details, please see Part
One of this report.
My next report will hopefully be the viewing, then the auction itself and any
other goss.
