On October 28th, 2000 the yearly German UNESCO-Benefiz-Gala, a charity performance for children in need took place in a hall of the Swissotel Neuss.
The entrance fee was about 800 DM (US$ 380) and so only the rich ones have been there.
The event is one of the ten best and most glamorous balls of the world.
Stars like Christopher Lambert, Brigitte Nielsen, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Pierre Brice and many more sold lots and collected 2.5 Mill. DM (1.2 Mill. US$) from the guests.
