| The Noah's Ark Appeal |
The
Noah's Ark Appeal was launched in May 2000 to raise £5 million to fund
the building of Phase One of the first Children's Hospital for Wales.
Later we were asked to raise a further £1.5million to ensure that old
equipment will not have to he transferred into the brand new hospital
and fund the art programme that will transform a clinical building into
a magical and child-friendly place. We are nearly there and the building
is well on schedule to be complete by the end of 2004. The Noah's Ark
Appeal has now been asked to fund a covered walkway to the reception and
we intend to complete this extra task by the time first patients are
admitted in early 2005.The Noah's Ark Appeal has touched the hearts of children and adults, the famous and not-so-famous from around Wales and as far away places as the USA, Kuwait and Dubai. Shark-diving, rowing across the Atlantic and I'm a Celebrity..Get me Out of Here! have featured among the more hair-raising activities; children have danced, toddled, dressed-up, remained silent, made chocolate cakes and lined the streets in their tens of thousands to cheer Ian Botham... all in the name of the Noah's Ark Appeal. We open our photograph album and show you a few of our highlights since we began. Thank you all for your continued support. External Link: Donate Money To The Noah's Ark Appeal |
