Description & Notes

An elegant bias cut stage gown with low-cut back and fitted bodice by Douglas Darnell, the pale lemon silk chiffon ground densely embroidered with pale lemon beads and embellished with clusters of Swarovski aurora borealis crystals and silver bugle beads in a pattern of trailing leaves, the bodice décolleté similarly decorated with a cut-out leaf border, the skirt with flowing train, lined in silver silk tissue

Weight: approx. 4.5kg.

The photograph illustrated shows Dame Shirley wearing this gown during her performance in a cabaret show at the Hotel Metropole, Birmingham, 1990.
