A striking leopard print silk ensemble comprising:
a bustier of chocolate silk; a full-length leopard print skirt close-fitting to
the knee and flaring to a fishtail train, lined in lemon silk; and a matching
voluminous coat with three-quarter length sleeves, deep cuffs and flowing train,
lined in chocolate silk, each piece labelled Isabell Kristensen, London.
The photograph illustrated shows Dame Shirley wearing the skirt and coat in this
lot with Alex Gifford and Will White of The Propellerheads during a publicity
shoot for their 1997 hit single History
Repeating. Publicity photographs of Dame Shirley wearing the skirt and coat
also appear in the programme for her Millenium Tour,
1998-2000.
The bustier included in this lot is not the one worn for the photograph taken
with the Propellerheads.
