Lot 37
1990s - Sara Perceval |
<<PREVIOUS LOT |
NEXT LOT>>

A shimmering long-sleeved stage gown by Sara
Perceval, the gold gauze ground embroidered overall with gold sequins, slit
centrally to the upper leg with flowing train lined in gold lamé, the sweetheart
neckline decorated with two vintage diamanté earclips; and
- a voluminous stage coat of deep gold satin, the collar and cuffs trimmed with
simulated gold mesh of gold foil squares on a gold gauze ground.
The photograph illustrated shows Dame Shirley wearing the gown in this lot on
stage at the Royal Festival Hall during her Millenium
Tour, 1998-2000.
Dame Shirley has fond memories of this gown, she told us ...This goes over a
dress...It's a coat that could be used as a dress. I did use it as a dress for
opening and then half way through I took it off...This looks great on...I love
sweetheart necklines...
