This song had been co-written for Shirley Bassey by her then arranger and director Johnny Harris. In 2002 a re-mix of this song by "Nightmares On Wax" was released on The Remix Album...Diamonds Are Forever. George Evelyn, the "Nightmares On Wax" producer said about Shirley Bassey "The first words that come into your mind when you think of her are big, beautiful, proud and pure. My main reason for selecting 'Easy Thing To Do' was the lyrical content. By stating the obvious quotes about love, it contradicts the state of play in the world today - i.e.. there's not enough of it around!"
